XYZ Theatricals is a full-service theatre production company based in New York City that specializes in international producing, general management, executive producing, and consulting. Founded by Xiaoyan Zhu and Zihe Tian to become a catalyst for importing and exporting the highest caliber theatrical productions in New York City, the West End, and across the world.

XYZ Theatricals is currently represented on Broadway by an investment in The Fear of 13 starring Oscar Award Winner Adrian Brody and Hollywood blockbuster star Tessa Thompson. The West End production received rave reviews and Olivier Award nominations, sparking a commercial Broadway transfer.

Additional credits include serving as the general manager for the off-Broadway production of The Censorship of Dreams at La Mama Experimental Theatre Club.

Zihe Tian

Founder & Producer

Zihe Tian is a producer, investor, dramaturg, and voice director based in New York. She is passionate about classical Chinese culture, literature and art, dedicated to making East Asian aesthetics and narratives accessible to more audiences.

Recent credits: Of Ashes and Souls, Anti-Gone俺抬杠?!, The Emperor, Remorse, The Munchies, Hollow Cross, Deep Sea Trail, etc. (BA: NYU, MFA: Columbia University.)

XiaoYan Zhu is a producer, investor, and general manager based in New York. In 2023, she gave herself a chance to pursue her lifetime dream – working on producing and presenting international productions by moving to New York City for her MFA in Theatre Management & Producing from Columbia University.

XiaoYan received her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and spent most of her life in PR and marketing before transitioning to academia, where she taught practical writing and helped students produce their plays. She spent 6 years at Shanghai Theatre Academy's playwrighting exchange program with Columbia University, where she collaborated with many artists, including Tony Award-winner David Henry Hwang.

Her recent credits include An American Soldier at Perelman Arts Center, The Munchies at The Tank, Bad Horses at Vineyard Theatre, Bachatú at INTAR, Thank You for Listening 2025 with Remote Theatre Project, and Under The Radar 2025 with ArKtype.

Born and raised in a family with a traditional Beijing opera background, theatre has always been a part of her life, and XiaoYan looks forward to working across cultures and countries.
